What We Do
The Supporting Hands Network...
Result: each organization's mission and projects experience broader, further reaching promotion, discovery. support and effect.
The Supporting Hands Network grew from a unique experience of our founders reaching out and communicating with several smaller non-profits and individuals after Tropical Storm Erika devastated the small island country of Dominica in the Caribbean.
During the course of conversations, it became clear that though everyone had ties to the island in some capacity, most were not aware of the others' or their actions.
Being the party in the middle of all discussions, it was evident that we all had similar goals and, in some ways, were launching similar actions targeting related. and in some instances, the same charitable recipients, not only in the Caribbean, but also in the United States, Canada and elsewhere.
It made sense to us that if we all became aware of one another, established a shared point of communication, and a mutual platform of promotion and discovery, that all organizations would benefit.
Finally, Supporting Hands Network is 100% a non-profit organization. No one involved including the founders, board members, or outside consultants are compensated for any of their time spent dealing with organization matters.
